Beer Mixology Recipes

Lemon Ginger Shandy

  • ½ cup Mexican Style Lager
  • ½ cup Fever Tree ginger ale
  • ¼ cup Simply lemonade
  • Garnish: thinly sliced lemon

DIRECTIONS

Pour ingredients into a pint glass starting with beer, then add ginger ale and lemonade. Stir until combined. Add ice if desired (although not necessary). Garnish with lemon slice.

Juicy Fruit

  • 3 oz. Urban South Holy Roller Grapefruit IPA
  • 2 oz. Aperol
  • 1 oz. fresh squeezed grapefruit juice

DIRECTIONS

Build in a large wine glass, add ice, garnish with a grapefruit wheel.

Froth & Fire

  • 1.5 oz. Patron XO Coffee Liqueur
  • Guinness Extra Stout

DIRECTIONS

Pour chilled Patrón into a glass. Top off with Guinness.

 

This is an interesting concoction that we didn’t think would work but, trust us, it’s pretty darn tasty!

Ginger-Orange Beer

Makes enough for 2 servings

 

For the Ginger Simple Syrup:

  • 1, 2-inch piece of ginger, peeled
  • ½ cup water
  • â…“ cup sugar

DIRECTIONS

Combine ginger, water and sugar in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stir until all the sugar dissolves and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes to create the simple syrup. Pour the mixture into a glass, ginger and all, and place in the refrigerator to cool. Strain once the ginger syrup is cool.

 

For the Cocktail:

  • ¼ cup Ginger Simple Syrup
  • 2 limes
  • 1 oz. Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao
  • 2 cans Peroni Italian Beer

  • Hefeweizen beer glasses

DIRECTIONS

Divide the Ginger Simple Syrup, about ¼ cup, between 2 large Hefeweizen glasses. Into each glass, add the juice of one lime and ½ oz. of orange liqueur. Fill each glass with beer and stir.

Black Velvet

  • 4 oz. chilled Champagne or Sparkling Wine
  • 4 oz. chilled stout

DIRECTIONS

Pour the Champagne into a wine flute, filling the glass about halfway. Slowly top with the stout to fill the glass. Serve and enjoy.

The Snakebite

  • Magners Cider
  • Guinness Draught

DIRECTIONS

Fill a chilled pint glass halfway with Magners Cider. Gently pour Guinness down the back of a spoon on top of the cider to layer the drink. Enjoy.
