Happy New Year! With the madness of the holidays over, we can all sit back and relax. What better way to do that than with a beer? In December, we welcomed Toppling Goliath Brewing into the state! I am very excited to have these guys in store now. If you're an IPA fan, this beer is for you.

 Pseudo Sue Pale Ale

This isn't an IPA, but it is pretty close. Pseudo Sue is Toppling Goliath’s most popular beer—and with good reason. This beer is extremely aromatic, best enjoyed from a glass. The nose is heavy with citrus and on the palate, you get citrus and some mango too. If you haven't tried anything from Toppling Goliath yet, try this one first.

 Golden Nugget IPA

One of Toppling Goliath’s many IPAs, this one features Golden Promise malt. The malt coupled with the hop profile gives Golden Nugget a nice floral sweetness. On the nose you get a lot of citrus and some evergreen notes.

 Pompeii IPA

According to Toppling Goliath, this beer was "created with the same attention to detail as the beautiful mosaics that graced the walls of prominent buildings in the city of Pompeii.” And it’s not hard to tell; this single-hop IPA has a very nice tropical fruit profile.

 Sosus Double IPA

The beer features the mosaic hop that’s given freedom by a simple malt profile. Of course, with the mosaic hop, you're going to pick up a ton of tropical fruit characteristics on the palate. At 7.8% ABV, this isn't the strongest of the double IPAs, but it is definitely worth trying.

We have a few limited release items from these guys as well that are available while supplies last. We also have a collaboration between Toppling Goliath and Bottle Logic Brewing, which is not available in Arkansas. It’s rare that we get something from Bottle Logic, so come get some before it’s gone. If you're looking for a new IPA, give Toppling Goliath a try. As always, you can follow us on UNTAPPD at Colonial Wine & Spirits to see what we have to offer, and my personal UNTAPPD (jliddy09) to see what beers I've been trying lately.
