It's the most wonderful time of the year... for beer! The holidays are upon us and what better gift for your special beer nerd than beer? This gift guide will showcase some limited releases and beers new to Arkansas that are great stocking stuffers or last minute gift ideas. Some of these items are EXTREMELY limited so act now before they’re all gone.
Lost Forty Brewing
Nighty Night Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
We'll start this out with a local favorite. The Nighty Night is Lost Forty's annual release, and it’s very limited. It’s aged in bourbon, rye, and red wine barrels to give it an awesome and complex flavor. This year’s batch has a very intense red wine flavor that I found to be quite tasty.
CBS Canadian Breakfast Stout
This is a fantastic beer. After a long hiatus, they brought it back last year, and I'm so glad they did! Aged in Canadian whiskey barrels with maple syrup, this is an amazing stout. This beer is VERY limited but is the perfect gift for beer lovers.
Willettized Coffee Stout
If you're a whiskey fan, you've heard of Willett; it’s a distllery that isn’t distributed in the state but we get the next best thing, Lagunitas Coffee Stout aged in Willett barrels. This beer is fantastic. The barrel flavor and coffee blend perfectly to create an unforgettable beer. Available in 22oz bottles, this one is also VERY limited.
Dogfish Head Brewing
120 Minute IPA
Beer nerds know it. Beer nerds love it. This one needs no explanation. You can't go wrong giving the 120.
Prairie Artisan Ales
You gotta love a beer with "Christmas" in the name! This is another beer renowned by those in the know. Brewed with Prairie’s regular BOMB! ingredients and some seasonal spices, this makes for the perfect holiday beer. Another limited release.
I hope this guide helped direct you toward the perfect gift for your special beer lover. These are all excellent beers, and choosing can be a challenge.
